Rebounderz – Indoor Trampoline Arena

July 10, 2014 by Babita

Last Updated on July 10, 2014 by Babita

Since we decided to staycation our July 4th weekend we thought it would be great to check out Rebounderz in Edison, NJ. We had heard a lot about it from our neighborhood kids, so TEE and ‘S’ could not wait to go over there. Rebounderz is a huge warehouse kind of facility, which has been transformed to an indoor trampoline arena.

They have trampolines on the floors and walls from which you can jump and bounce off. In addition to the Open Jump Arena they also have the Foam Pit Jumper, Air Dogdeball and Basketball Slam. Each area has referees to keep an eye on the jumpers and enforce rules.

We went there last Sunday and had booked tickets online thinking it would be crowded; it was not. After TEE and ‘S’ were checked in, and we had signed the waiver, we were taken into a small room and shown a video of all the do and don’ts of Jump Time. I know they have to take precautions, but the rules were a bit too much and too strict.

They were also given sneakers and helmets (which I am not crazy about, I hate the idea of sharing head gear) to use while they are in the jump area. I don’t think TEE and ‘S’ cared about it at all. As you can see in the pictures below once they got into the jump area, they went wild. ‘S’ used up all her energy jumping, monkeying  around, and bouncing off walls. For the next half an hour they alternated between the Open Jump Arena and the Foam Pit Jumper.

Although jumping around on the trampolines looked like fun, but they were pretty exhausting too.  After about 30 minutes of jumping, both of them were begging me to stop and they wanted to go home. Overall both TEE and ‘S’ had a great time. The jump time is not exclusive to kids only. They are open to adults as well. The tickets were $17 for an hour but they also offer deals. I personally wish they were closer to my township,  I would have loved to host my little one’s birthday party over there.

I’ve been wanting to take my boys to an indoor trampoline area like this one. All the photos I see of kids at these places look like they are having a lot of fun.

That looks like such great exercise. And totally fun too! What a great idea for summer fun, or indoor rainy day fun. I love that this exhausted them. That’s my goal with my kids most of the time. Exhause them so they fall asleep. Lol

We have a couple of these types of places here near us and my two LOVE going there. It’s so much fun and it tires the kids out.

We had to get rid of our trampoline when we moved and we have all been missing jumping. Rebounderz would be awesome to visit to get our jumping in!

I like the play places that you pay for the day. $17 is steep. We have one of these in Austin and it is pricey. I wish I was young enough to enjoy the trampolines. They give me headaches.
