First Day

January 21, 2010 by Babita

Last Updated on April 29, 2013 by Babita

Since this was the first day,  the thing that was the hardest to do was to stop using my laptop. I just did not want to. I was spending a lot of time just browsing and not really doing anything. I think I must have logged on to hotmail and Facebook atleast 30 times just wasting my time and as usual procrastinating. I am sure I am not alone ……what do you think????

Finally I had to mentally kick myself in the a___ and get going. I went down to the basement where RC is and inspected the condition of the cushions. I decided to cut up the fabric of the seat cushion to see if I could use the pad. To my relief the seat pad was in a good condition. So I decided I will use the same pad and proceeded to strip off all the fabric from the pad.

The back cushion however was going to be a problem because that was stuffed with polyster batting. So I decided to leave it alone at this point and concentrate on tackling the seat cushion first.

I then looked for the right fabric. I have a collection of fabrics stored in my basement for future use. Whenever I go to Walmart or Jo-Ann Fabric & Crafts I will buy fabric even if I don’t need them. I love fabrics, they inspire me….that is just till I am in the store and once I buy them, I forget about them. To make long story short, I found this beautiful upholstery fabric. Don’t know if you can see it in the picture, it is red (my favorite color) and golden in color. It has a hint of olive in the gold. It has a horizontal ribbed texture which I think is really cool.

So basically that is all I did today. I will try to make more effort tomorrow and during the weekend.

A note to anyone following this blog, please feel free to write down your opinions and suggestions. I really need them at this point.

Spread the love
