Holiday Preparations with Cooking Ranges from Best Buy

October 4, 2014 by Babita

Last Updated on October 5, 2014 by Babita

This is a sponsored post on behalf of Best Buy.

Diwali is just around the corner and I feel like I am running out of time. For those of you who are not familiar with Diwali, let me educate you. It is one of the biggest Hindu/Indian festivals. This year it falls on October 23rd and depending on the year, Diwali can last from three to four days. This is one of my favorite festivals and I have fond memories of my mom cooking tons of sweet and savory snacks in the preparation of this festival.

Living in New Jersey has allowed me the opportunity to carry forward the same traditions and in turn create memories for my girls. My preparations for Diwali start almost a week before the actual festival. I allot each day to prepare one snack or sweet, which is a time consuming effort. Most of the snacks that I prepare include frying. I spend at least three to four hours on my feet prepping and frying stuff.

It is during days like these I wish I had the use of appliances from Best Buy. I wish I had their Frigidaire and Whirlpool line of appliances. I am sure with their Frigidaire FGIF3061NF induction cooking range I would be able to enormously reduce my cooking time. After all, if you can boil water in less than two minutes, then imagine what you could do when you have to heat oil and boil sugar syrup simultaneously!

Cooking Range Frigidaire

The other feature of this range that would help out a lot is that the spills don’t burn. You can ask any Indian woman about this and they will all agree. Indian cooking is very messy. With all the frying, boiling, sauteing, simmering and tempering; liquids and ingredients end up flying in all different direction. Anything that falls over the range ends up being burnt and very difficult to clean. Cleaning would be a breeze with Frigidaire cooking range as spills don’t burn and can easily be wiped away.

Even though my preparation for Diwali cooking does not include any baking, I do bake a lot especially during Thanksgiving and Christmas time. I would love to have Whirlpool WGG555S0BS double ovens which I feel would reduce my cooking time in half.  The double ovens allows you to cook two dishes at two different temperatures at once and that is a huge help especially when I have tons of baking to do. You would assume an appliance like this would hog all the space in the kitchen right? No, absolutely not. It is compact enough to fit within the space of a standard range.

I am eagerly looking forward to Diwali and making all those delicious treats and sweets. In the meantime, if you wish to learn more about Frigidaire and Whirlpool’s line of appliances click here at appliance from Best Buy.

I would love to have a brand new range like one of these. They are so much more “modern” than my current one.

Leaned something new today. Didn’t know what Diwali was! I do a lot of banking so I can see how these two ranges would be useful! Especially when you need to cook for a lot of people!

I don’t know why, but I never associate Best Buy with kitchen appliances. But after seeing that double oven, I bet I won’t forget about them again! (Especially since I’m going to tell the hubs that I must have it! LOL)

I am appliance shopping and that double oven is very sexy! I love it. I rarely think of best buy in that space so these posts are helping me make a big decision. These are big chunks of money so it’s important to compare.

I would love to have a new stove! I am positive that the temperature on my oven is way off. I used to be an excellent cook now everything is either burned or raw. I also switched from gas to electric so I don’t know. I have to stick with electric now but would love to get a new stove. I love Best Buy it’s my favorite store and the first place I go when I need something big!
