No Sew Minnie Mouse Halloween Costume

No Sew Minnie Mouse Halloween Costume

October 13, 2014 by Babita

Last Updated on October 13, 2014 by Babita

I made this this no sew Minnie Mouse Halloween costume before I got into this whole blogging business. I made it for ‘S’ when she was two years old. It is probably one of the easiest and quickest costumes I ever made.

No Sew Minnie Mouse Costume

I had not planned to make this no sew Minnie mouse costume. I wanted the take the easy route and buy a ready made costume. But, after seeing the type of costumes that were available in the store and comparing the price and quality of the costumes, I decided to make one for her.

I came upon this red long sleeve T-Shirt with matching full skirt in Sam’s Club and I think it was on sale for $6. Even though it was not the right color (Minnie Mouse costume is orange-red), I decided to buy it as I planned on using it for other occasions too.

I found some sheets of Felt with adhesives on the back. After I came home I traced couple of circles on the sheet with a nickel. Cut the circles and removed the paper backing and stuck it on the T-shirt and skirt randomly.

I used a Minnie mouse headband which I had bought from our previous trip to Disney World. To complete the costume, I made ‘S’ wear black tights and red shoes.

No Sew Minnie Mouse Halloween Costume

Once we were done with Halloween and all the trick and treating, I removed all the felt circles and used this as a regular dress for quiet some time.

Spread the love

Very creative and what an adorable Halloween contest and little girl. It is fantastic that you were able to use this dress way past the Halloween costume. I bet it made for a pretty party dress.

I love how you removed the circles and used it again. One of the reasons I don’t get into the whole dressing up idea is that costumes are so expensive and useless after one day. Great post (and I adore Minnie Mouse!)
