Ozeri Touch II Digital Kitchen Scale

Review of Ozeri Touch II Digital Kitchen Scale

February 25, 2014 by Babita

Last Updated on December 7, 2021 by Babita

I recently received the Ozeri Touch II digital kitchen scale for review purpose. I have to say when I received the package I was thrilled. You see, I wanted a kitchen scale for a long time, but it was one of those gadgets, which always fell into the โ€œI will get it laterโ€ types.

Anyway, I received the package couple of weeks back and have been trying it out. When I first saw the Ozeri Touch II kitchen scale, I was very impressed. Itโ€™s very lightweight. From far the scale can be easily mistaken for a mini iPad or Kindle. Visually the scale looks amazingly modern and sleek. It is small and slim enough to be stored in any of my kitchen drawers.

The surface is tempered glass and features Microban antimicrobial product protection. This is supposed to prevent stain and germ-causing bacteria. It has two touch sensitive buttons for operation. It boasts of a special feature TARE โ€“ which is capable of calculating the net weight of the ingredient. It includes a pair of lithium batteries. The package also includes a userโ€™s manual and a Calorie and USPS First Class Rate Guide.

My review:

I try out a lot of new Indian recipes, and most of them are measured in grams and kilograms. This scale allows me to do that with a touch of a button. I can change the unit to gm, lb, kg, fl.oz, oz and ml. So that is a huge plus for me. This scale can also measure up to 11 lbs.ย  Since I ship a lot of orders for my ETSY shop, this scale allows me to calculate postage without having to go to the post office. This scale is touch sensitive and has to be kept over a flat and stable surface. The surface is easy to clean. The LCD display is lighted and large so it is easy for me to see the numbers. As for measuring, I noticed that you have to keep the ingredients in the center for consistent reading. Visually, I like the fact that this scale isย  slim, stylish and easy to store. I am not a huge fan of Lithium batteries. They are hard to find and not to mention expensive. If this scale runs out of battery then that could be a problem. Other than that I love this scale and so far I am satisfied with this product.

The Ozeri Touch II Digital Kitchen Scale is available on Amazon (click here) and retails for $28.95.

I have the Ozeri Pronto Digital Kitchen Scale. It is under $10 on Amazon!! Works perfectly for my sourdough bread baking and starter โ€˜feedingโ€™. My nephew shared his starter and showed me all of his tools. This one is critical for proper bread results. All things I measure are in containers so Iโ€™m not concerned about germs. Love the TARE button! Thanks for your review.

Thank you Janie for your feedback. I am still using this kitchen scale and it is going strong. Once in a while I have to replace the battery and then it is good as new.

I really, really want one of these. I’m horrible at recipes and would love to be able to just follow them precisely and place the exact amount of each ingredient.

It’s hard to tell but the display looks a little tricky to see? I could be wrong. I do like that it can change measurement scales easily and it’s a good size.

I love my kitchen scale both for portion control and for very precise recipes. It’s so much better than guessing in bread and other baked goods.

I use my kitchen scale a lot – for weighing foods and small packages too. I love how thin and sleek this scale is! Mine is more traditional/bulky. Will check out their site.

Thank you so much for the info! I am trying to lose weight and was thinking just yesterday that I need to get a scale to make counting calories a lot easier. It’s nice that you can use it for other things as well.
