PUR Water Filter Pitcher

PUR Water Filtration Pitcher VoxBox

July 9, 2015 by Babita

Last Updated on May 18, 2016 by Babita

I believe in drinking filtered water. I have been accustomed to it since my childhood. Growing up in India before filtration systems were available we resorted to drinking only boiled water. Later on we used heavy duty filtration systems. However, over here I found suitable water filtration pitchers, which worked, really well for my family and me. Using filtered water has saved us a lot over the years. We don’t use bottled water unless we are traveling.

Recently Influenster sent me their PUR VoxBox and I had a blast un-boxing it with my little one ‘S’.  She recorded me and if you listening carefully you can hearing her giggling.  You can check out the unveiling of the Pur VoxBox on Youtube below:

Well, I was really hoping for the faucet filter, but I received the PUR Pitcher instead. Frankly speaking it did not bother me much. The PUR water filtration pitcher is designed to reduce twice the amount of contaminants. The pitcher can hold about 11 cups of water at a time which I think is cool.

PUR Water Filter Pitcher

This pitcher has a sleek and compact design which makes it easy to store in the refrigerator. It is equipped with a filter change light which is great as it acts as a reminder (for filter change) which I have to say is a great feature.  It has a pour spout cover and an easy fill lid which fits on top of the pitcher securely. Best of all even though the pitcher is made of plastic is BPA free.

The instructions are very easy to understand. After following them it does not take much effort to put the filter and pitcher (of course we have to clean the pitcher with some dish soap before use) together.

PUR Water Filter Pitcher 1

The PUR Water Filtration pitcher is designed with MAX ION Filter Technology. This means it is capable of removing 95% of mercury, reduces chlorine (taste and odor) , Zinc (metallic taste), and removes 96% of trace levels or pharmaceuticals.

PUR Water Filteration Pitcher 2

I like the taste of clean and fresh water. This is a 11 cup pitcher that means I can spend less time refilling it. However, it also can end up very heavy when completely filled. So kids may need the help of an adult to pour out the water or you can do what my little one ‘S’ does; spill water all over :). Overall I like this product and will continue to use it.

You can find the PUR water filtration system in Amazon (click here) where it currently is on sale for $23.54

Disclosure: I received this product from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions stated here are honest and my own.

Spread the love

I was just telling my husband that we need one of these Pur filters. I can really taste and smell the chlorine in our water lately. I can’t drink tap water because of it.

We have one similar – it really makes a big difference and you really get to know the taste when it does or doesn’t too.

We have one of these and we love it. The water really does taste so much better and you can take comfort in the fact that it is healthier than tap.

We have had a PUR pitcher in our home and the water tasted so good. It really filters out all the toxins from the drinking water supply.

I have been thinking about getting one of these. I don’t like buying bottled water but I don’t like our tap water.

This is great. I’ve never used PUR before but I can’t drink water until filtered. So this I should look in to!

We used this filtration brand before. We live in San Antonio and prefer not to drink their hard water. It worked great.
