It is Friday night and one of the best night for us as a family. My husband, my girls and I look forward to Friday nights. It is our Family Movie Night and this is #HowWeFamily. We started this tradition as a way for us to spend time with each other. As most of our extended family live overseas, my girls TEE and ‘S’ miss them. Us sitting together as a family watching movies (Hollywood or Bollywood), snacking and just being together reminds us of them.
The special movie night starts with all of us deciding which movie we would all like to watch together (yes we are very democratic like that). The decision making starts as early as Tuesday. Once we have voted, it is my husband job to rent and bring it home. My job is to plan for snacks to have during the movie night. This is also my favorite part. I like cooking and learning new recipes. This night gives me an opportunity to go all out and cook some of my family’s favorite as well as experiment with new recipes.
This is what I am making tonight. It is a recipe for Quick Pizza Appetizer, something my girls love and that I have been making for years.

After seeing this video I could not help but wish my extended family lived here with us. We could include them in our Family Movie Night, watch movies together while eating some delicious and yummy snacks.

Family night is very important to children growing up. That’s something that they will remember and cherish when they get older!
We have family movie nights as well, and we like to make homemade pizza or calzones as well as other snacks.
We are family by playing board games and card games together, we have some good laughts!

My parents are gone six months of the year. We always do a lot of video calls. When we eat Christmas dinner we have them on the computer so they can eat with us.
We take a lot of vacations as a family but during the holidays we always try to stay together.
