What Do You Think Your Kids Will Be When They Grow Up.

March 12, 2014 by Babita

Last Updated on March 12, 2014 by Babita

Sometimes I find myself looking at both TEE and ‘S’ and wondering what they will be when they grow up. I know as a mom or a parent I am not alone. I am sure we have all done this with our kids. We look at them and we think — I bet she/he will grow up to be a doctor, singer, teacher, an engineer, a scientist etc. (you get the point).

When I look at TEE and her personality, I think she will be a lawyer or a teacher. I think she will be a lawyer because she is great in arguing and debating and always makes excellent points (eventually I have to shut up). She could be a teacher because she is smart, she is great with younger kids and she also likes being bossy.

When I look at ‘S’ my little one I think she will be an animal whisperer or a veterinarian or a celebrity chef. Since she was a baby I have noticed she is very comfortable around animals. I can feel she has a special connection to them. I also think she could be a celebrity chef only because she ignores her homework to spend time with me in the kitchen while I am cooking. If I allow her to assist me she will also narrate what she is doing pretending to be Barefoot Contessa (that is her favorite show).

I don’t know if TEE and ‘S’ will ever turn out to be what I imagine, but few years from now I think it will be fun to look back at this post and may be say “see – I was right”.

What do you think your kids will grow up to be based on their personality?

This one is difficult to think about right now. Three of my kids are in difficult places right now and it’s hard to say how long it will endure.

I have a 11 month old baby and it’s too soon to guess. There’s a custom that Koreans do at the 1st birthday of the baby’s– they put out a microphone, pen, paintbrush… stuff like that and see what the child picks up. Whatever it is they pick up is their future profession. Does your culture have something like that?

I honestly didn’t know who I was going to be till I discovered writing. My sisters on the other hand seem to have made their path as young as they are.

My oldest is 20 and my youngest is 16. It has been so much fun to watch them grow up. They are so completely different. One is majoring in social work and one getting her cosmetology license. They both have very different gifts!

hahaha If I really told you what I think my kids would be you’d think I’m crazy so I’ll keep it all to myself. My oldest wants to become a journalist though, the others are still up in the air.

This is a really fun post. My oldest is a Freshman in High School and is planning to go to a Graphic Design school. My youngest wants to be a police officer (he’s 8) and my daughter… well. I’m just not sure. I worry about her so much as she struggles a lot in school. But I hope that she becomes whatever she wants!!

Right now, my son wants to be a video game designer. I think that’s the perfect career for him. He’s only 8 though, so he’ll change his mind a million times I’m sure!

I have a nine month old and he loves all different kinds of music. It’s kind of hard to predict at this age. Thanks for sharing with us about your kiddo.

I have been priming my girls to follow Gods plan for their life. The awesome thing is that when God is involved, they could end up being ANYTHING!
That said, I think both of my girls are going to end up in the service industry somehow. Missionaries, working with kids, teachers, etc. Or they could be Mommys like their Mommy!

My kids are too young for me to get any idea really. But I hope they are able to do something that makes them happy while also allowing them to live comfortably and not have to stress too much over finances.

Well, no kids here yet, but I do appreciate how my parents always (and still do) supported whatever I wanted to do with myself. That meant a lot!

My oldest will be a vet. She has been saying she wants to be one since she was just a tiny tot, and that hasn’t waive red at all over the years. My other will probably be a spoiled housewife that expects everyone to wait on her hand and foot lol. She is a little diva.

My eldest is 9 and at the moment he is into computer games and football. He says he want’s to be a football player, but that’s not properly going to happen. He is very good at math, so maybe an accountant.

I think my son is going to be a good friend, well mannered, and treat others with kindness. He has a generous spirit and, at nearly five years old, tells me that he wants to help people that are lost when he gets older. If I had to choose now, my guess is FBI or a psychologist.

I often wonder this about my daughter. My son hasn’t come into his own personality all the way yet.. But my daughter has arrived. I think she is going to be doing something that helps people. She has such a kind heart!

I think my oldest son may be a mechanic because he is really into cars. My middle son may be a lawyer, because he is quite the little story teller and my youngest son will probably be a maintenance supervisor because he is always trying to fix everything. My daughter will probably be a beautician because she is always trying to get into my makeup, even though she is only one!

Well, my six year old is too young for me to even begin to formulate an opinion, but with my nine year old – I am thinking something in the math field. Maybe an engineer?
