The Rocking Chair Project.

January 21, 2010 by Babita

Last Updated on January 18, 2016 by Babita

Last week, as I was exercising in my basement, I saw my rocking chair (I’ll call it RC)… all alone in a corner looking very desolate and dirty. I felt bad for RC almost like I would feel bad for a person. RC had seen better days. It was a gift from my husband during my second pregnancy four years ago.

RC proved to be a very good and comforting friend to me. My baby had reflux problems and I had to hold her upright after every feeding for atleast 30 minutes. I was able to do that because of dear RC. During the early months, I and my baby spent more time on the chair than on our bed or the crib. Even though RC is not that old, it looks like it has aged several years. I thought it will be a perfect time to give it a new look. So there it is…..my first project:

Upholstering the Rocking Chair and the Ottoman…

I have uploaded an image of the chair below. I hope I will be able to successfully restore it within a month. Wish me good luck.

Spread the love
