I have two girls who love to make a mess. TEE has loved clutter since she was a baby and ‘S’ started loving it after observing her sister. Don’t get me wrong; TEE’s room is spotless. She likes to have her space nice and clean, but it is the general area that she does not care about.
Anyway because of all the mess, I have to sweep up my downstairs twice daily. Yes, you heard me right, I sweep (with a broom). I don’t vacuum because I am afraid that a vacuum cleaner will scratch the hard wood floors in my living room.
That is until I received the Shark Rocket Powerhead for review purpose. I tried it out and guess what? I don’t have to use the broom anymore. No more Scratches!!
This vacuum was easy to put together. I like that the handle of the vacuum is adjustable to the height, which is most comfortable to the user. So if TEE and ‘S’ want to use it all they have to do is adjust the handle height. It is also easy to maneuver in and round all of the furniture.
The Shark Rocket Powerhead is also equipped with an all-surface brushroll that goes from carpets to hard floor easily. It comes with two interchangeable brush rolls. The hard bristles rollers for the carpet and soft bristles rollers for the hard floors. It also has it own Brushroll Holster, which can be either attached to the vacuum or stored away.
However, the best feature that I am going to rave about is that the rollers are removable. As a family with three girls (um yeah, calling myself a girl) with long hair, plus with all the sewing I do, you have no idea how important this feature is. It means I can remove the roller, cut away all the long strands of hairs or strings with a scissor, and then rinse them out with water for some more OCD obsessed cleaning. Even the filters can be cleaned under running water.
Did I mention that the The Shark Rocket Powerhead is only 9 lbs (not including the cord)? Oh yes, it is that light. Even ‘S’ my almost 9 year old can carry it with ease. The vacuuming weight is only one lb. That is sweet news to me because one of these days I am going to make ‘S’ vacuum the floor as she is one who messes it up the most. I am sure she would enjoy it rather than dread it. For her everything is a playful activity.

I know I have been talking about the hard wood floors and this vacuum’s performance, but I should mention that this one works great on carpets too. The hard bristles and Brushroll deep cleans the carpets by removing the embedded dirt.

My mother in law mentioned needing a new vacuum. I think this would make a great Christmas gift for her. I love that it’s so lightweight but does a great job cleaning like a full vacuum.
