Giorgio Armani Fall 2012 Collection features flats

February 29, 2012 by Babita

Last Updated on February 29, 2012 by Babita

Giorgio Armani’s Fall 2012 collection was full of surprises. It included menswear inspired black and grey tailored pants suits paired with fedoras. Also included in the collection were opulent fur-like coats in bold colors reminding us of bygone eras. The collection featured an array of tailored and fitted dresses in bold orange and pink colors which were paired with hats. Each and every piece that came down the runaway appeared wearable and elegant.

The trend setting item however, were the flat shoes…not an inch of heel was visible. Every look was paired with matching flats. The 6″ and above sky-heels which every designer seems to be flaunting was absent from the Giorgio Armani collection. I for one am personally glad that he is returning to basics. Don’t get me wrong, I love heels. Its these sky-high heels that I cannot stand. I feel they are a travesty (not to mention extremely unsafe) to women everywhere. I also think that its time for them to retire and applaud Giorgio Armani for his bold move.
