Strawberry and Blueberry Smoothie

Strawberry and Blueberry Smoothie

June 27, 2012 by Babita

Last Updated on March 3, 2016 by Babita

I am back! After what seems like a never ending lists of my girls’ end-of- the- year activities, I am finally back with a bang. This break was very much needed on my part and I am glad to be back, refreshed, much like my favorite strawberry and blueberry smoothie. This smoothie is one of my family’s favorite summer time drink and my girls are absolutely bananas (pun intended) about it.

The fantastically great thing about this strawberry and blueberry smoothie is that, it is all natural and ready in minutes. Blueberries are known for their antioxidant properties and when combined with strawberries and yogurt, the result is an absolutely delicious and refreshing blend of goodness appealing to all your senses. I am positive it will want you asking for more. Enjoy!

Strawberry and Blueberry Smoothie

Ingredients:

1 lb of strawberries
1 pint of blueberries
1 1/2 cup of yogurt
2-3 cubes of ice (optional)
sugar as per taste

Preparations:

  • Clean the strawberries and blueberries.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend them.
  • Serve it in tall glasses.

Useful Suggestions:

  • If you are health conscious then use honey instead of sugar.
  • If you allow the smoothie to rest for few minutes you will have a thicker consistency.
  • If however, you want a thinner consistency then add 1/4 cup of whole or 2% milk and adjust for sweetness as well.
  • This recipe serves four, but if you want to appear all cool and sophisticated 🙂 then serve them in shot glasses.
Spread the love
